dazzle

Silver Cross’ Dazzle umbrella stroller is absolutely beautiful! As I ordered it I wondered if it would perform nearly as well as the Maclaren strollers.  It does! It was very hard for me to decide which color to choose but finally decided on the Grape.

The fashionable design of the stroller is impeccable. The covered wheels and the “hidden” storage compartment beneath make the stroller sleek and beautiful. The brushed aluminum frame is a delight.

Functionally, the wheels are larger than most umbrella strollers, which is a God-send living in NYC. The wheels roll over most cracks in the concrete and up and down brownstone stoops.  The chair fully reclines making the stroller usable from birth.  Folding the stroller is a cinch and it is extremely light weight without feeling wobbly. The stroller comes with a rain cover. An accessory kit is also available for the stroller, just not in the USA.

Which brings me to the one thing about this stroller I wish were different. The brake can not be put on the back wheels when the stroller is folded. Why does this matter? When you are on the subway or bus and you want the stroller to stand and stay put; the Dazzle will roll. This design is simply for people who do not ride public transportation. On the one hand I feel slighted but then again, it is a Silver Cross……

Good viewing!

the 4400I am so sick of seeing McCain’s face every time my blog loads as my home page.  Mommy brain is for real. Despite the weird condition affecting my attention span and memory, I am posting.

Here is what I like to do lately.

If you have yet to see an episode of this Sci Fi show then let me warn you, it is addictive.  I absolutely adore the show and don’t know why USA stopped production.  Aren’t they owned by NBC?

Anyway, ENJOY!

  1. When moving, do not depend on friends to help. Most of them do not want to spend their free time lifting your junk.
  2. The friends/associates that do assist are like GOLD, no PLATINUM, better yet, DIAMONDS!
  3. Treat your friends to a slice or two for their help but not at Graziella’s (too pricey)!
  4. $220.83 can hire two men and a van instead of feeding 12 folks pizza & wine!
  5. Security Guards who pick their noses before you have to give them id are FOUL!

I lived in San Francisco for almost 5 years. I loved it, lived a very quiet life in the Sunset and met my husband. I lived on the Taraval train line and boarded every morning for work at the first/last stop. I never owned a car there, it wasn’t until my third year there I found the courage to drive those crazy hills. I made a lot of friends. I only speak to two of them still and that is because I knew them before I arrived.

I miss the sound of the ocean, walks along the beach, watching kites and views of the Golden Gate bridge.

I miss it. I would like to visit again, but not live there. I am moving on…………
